The "Miracle on the Hudson" with US Airways Flight 1594 proves once again my long-held belief that the best commercial pilots are those with military experience. I know some civil pilots will disagree, but nothing can top the stresses that military pilots undergo. Thus, nothing hardens the mettle of a pilot like military experience. Flight 1594 Captain Chesley Sullenberger III is a US Air Force Academy graduate and a former F-4 Phantom pilot.
So well done Captain for serving your country and then your passengers and their families.
