The Obama Doctrine

AOI's ears perked up when Mr. Fiscal Responsibility, Dear Leader, mentioned that he would review the Federal budget "line by line" and remove "Cold War" defense projects.

President Obama Addresses Joint Session Of Congress

The Three Stooges...

Sadly, he probably means the F-22 Raptor. Liberals and anti-military sorts always go after military programs with the attack of their being supposedly outdated Cold War relics. The Air Force will have 183 Raptors but needs around 341. Not to repeat previous posts, but the F-22 Raptor will be the only fighter that the United States will have to compete with the latest Russian designs being sold to everyone. If Dear Leader ends F-22 production, he will be responsible for the death of American pilots in future wars.

Dear Leader also made pains to say that America no longer "tortures." So how is DL going to defeat our enemies? Good old American values. With those values, we'll defeat Al Qaida and presumably the Russians and Chinese too.

Uh Dear Leader, aren't those American values the reason why they don't like us in the first place?

Please tell me this is all just a bad dream and this empty suit is not actually President.

Ship of Fools

A Team of Rivals? Puh-lease. Dear Leader has assembled a host of officials worthy of a Banana Republic:

  • Joe Biden, who rips Chief Justice Roberts for flubbing Dear Leader's Coronation Oath...and then flubs Hillary's.
  • Tim Geithner as Treasury Secretary to oversee the IRS...and is a tax cheat.
  • Tom Daschle, who AOI thought had finally been chucked out of Washington, almost gets HHS despite being a tax cheat too.
  • Nancy Killefer, to be nominated to some lame "Chief Performance Officer" position is yet another tax cheat.
  • Bill Richardson has to withdraw from Commerce Secretary because he's under Grand Jury investigation.
  • Leon Panetta, with not one bit of intelligence experience becomes Director of Central Intelligence.
  • Hillary Clinton, who once dodged sniper fire in Bosnia, is qualified to be Secretary of State.
  • Robert Gibbs, is the press secretary with more "Umms" than a Gregorian Monk.
  • Perhaps worst of all, Eric Holder, part of the disastrous "wall" between the FBI and CIA in the Clinton Years, as well as Clinton's shady pardons, becomes Attorney General.

  • Robert Gates...yes even him. There has been no Defense Secretary more anti-US Air Force than this man.
AOI has to give Dear Leader one thing: he sure knows how to provide a ton of laughs. Too bad the joke is ultimately on us.

My President-In-Exile

AOI will never be swayed by the demagoguery and Orwellian mainstream media propaganda for Dear Leader. He's not my President (what was good for the Left vis-a-vis Bush for 8 years is good enough for me and DL). My President-in-Exile is none other than Super Sarah!

UPI POY 2008 - Campaign 2008.

Please go to her new Political Action Committee site www.sarahpac.com and sign up for email updates or donate. Super Sarah may be the last leader we can coalesce around to save what is left of the United States after Dear Leader has destroyed it.

What a Great 11 Days

Has it only been 11 days since Dear Leader was coronated?

President Obama meets with Defense Secretary Roberts at the Pentagon

It feels like 11 years already.

Never mind the worthless stimulus bill, confirmations of a ship of fools for a cabinet, neutering tools in what used to be called the War on Terror...now Foxnews.com reports that Dear Leader has asked the Defense Department to cut its budget by 10 percent. No doubt so he can take that money to buy more votes from his cheering masses.
We all knew Dear Leader would be an absolute disaster, but kudos to him for being well on his way before the month was even out.

The "Dark Forces"

Back in the waning days of the Cold War, Soviet propaganda proclaimed that the United States was not really a democracy. Instead, the Soviets claimed that a secret cabal of CIA and military officials actually ran the country. They called this cabal the "Dark Forces."

Considering what's going on in Washington right now with the Democrats, AOI finds itself all these years later hoping that the Soviets were right.

Question for Michelle Obama

Dear Michelle:

Now that your husband's aspirations for supreme power have been met...

Are you proud of your country now?

Is America still a mean nation?

Dear Leader and the Special Relationship

Tim Shipman, writing in Saturday's Daily Telegraph (London), relates fears amongst senior British officials that Dear Leader might relegate the "Special Relationship" from its primary status in Anglo-American relations. Indications from Dear Leader's transition team are that Britain would just one amongst many "special" relationships. Apparently, Dear Leader will go suck up to France and Germany, and his first foreign visit may be to a Muslim nation.

Since 1917, the cornerstone of global security has been the US-UK relationship, ably assisted by other Anglosphere nations. If Dear Leader damages--or worse, wrecks--the Special Relationship, it may very well be his most disastrous legacy.

Pyongyang, District of Columbia

Amazing that a "man of the people" like Comrade Barack would stand for a spectacle of Hollywood leftist celebrities, singers, and pagentry in a multiday orgasm (a.k.a. the Inauguration) that the other Dear Leader would be jealous of. And look at any mainstream newspaper in the last few days--now you know what it was like to live in the Soviet Union in the heyday of Pravda.

Shut Up And...Well Just Shut Up

Actress Anne Hathaway, best known for her Disney "Princess Diaries" roles, is the latest elitist Hollywood celebrity to bore the rest of the Republic with her oh-so-important political views. Hathaway, who won the Best Actress award at the Critics Choice Awards last night, told reporters that she was going to the Coronation of Dear Leader but was upset that Pastor Rick Warren would be speaking. Hathaway explained that her brother was gay and that it was a "family issue" for them that Warren is supposedly anti-homosexual. The actress and her brother are going to wear anti-Warren ribbons. You mean some idiot is actually making such a thing? No word whether Comrade Anne would have preferred Reverend Wright instead.

They [liberal media] really like me!

Oh and while she's criticizing Dear Leader's choice of Warren, AOI has yet to learn of Dear Leader or Warren criticizing her choice of criminal boyfriend (legal disclaimer: now EX-boyfriend).

Comrade Barack Says Nothing to Worry...

Comrade Barack, at his daily propaganda briefing, claimed that an "internal" review of the Blagojevich scandal did not find that anything contradicted his previous statements about him or his staff being involved.

Obama appoints former Sen. Daschle Health and Human Services Secretary designate

I guess if the "internal" review says Comrade Barack is clean, then everything is cool then.

Hold on a minute Dear Leader...

AOI knows that all the media (even Fox News) are taking pains to state that Comrade Barack had nothing to do with the Governor Blagojevich scandal. But hold on a second...

President-elect Obama meets with Al Gore in Chicago

In the US Attorney's criminal complaint, the Governor disdains Comrade Barack by saying that if he chose Dear Leader's pick for the Senate, he would only get "appreciation" in return. So how does the Governor know this? Did he or his cronies approach Dear Leader's staff? If so, then Dear Leader or his staff have material knowledge of a crime.

AOI has a feeling that just like Watergate, this scandal is just beginning.
And America--you could have had real corruption fighters in McCain and Palin. But you wanted "change."

And you sure as hell got it.

Robert Gates--Hold the Applause

I know that many conservatives have praised Comrade Barack's retention of Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense. Now, considering some of the people he might have selected, there is cause for a small amount of relief. But let's look at Robert Gates more.

Obama Announces Appointments Of Clinton, Gates, Nat'l Security Team

Gates spent two years with the Air Force, but the majority of his adult career was spent with the Central Intelligence Agency, an agency that has often been at odds with the uniformed military in recent years. Gates served for about a year as Director of Central Intelligence.

In recent years, Gates reemerged on the public scene as a member of the Iraq Study Group, whose sole charter seemed to be to come up with a reason to withdraw from Iraq. Gates' ascension to SecDef after Donald Rumsfeld seemed to signal that President Bush was caving to critics of the Iraq War.

However, Gates has instead focused his attention on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has been no friend to the United States Air Force. Gates essentially fired the Secretary of the Air Force, Michael Wynne, and the Chief of Staff, General Michael Moseley. The official reason for the firings was a number of embarrassing incidents involving Air Force custody of nuclear components. But many--myself included--suspect that Wynne and Moseley's advocacy for more funding to fix an Air Force that is wearing out at an alarming rate  doomed them. Gates was also quoted criticizing the services for having "next-war-itis," that is, planning and preparing for wars with the likes of China, Iran, or Venezuela rather than the counterinsurgencies of Iraq and Afghanistan. As part of Gates dismissal of conventional war fighting strategy, he has been a strident foe of the much-needed F-22A Raptor.

A few years ago, Gates' strategy might have had merit. But as events with Russia in Georgia show, the days of conventional wars between nation states are not over. The Pentagon would be delinquent if it only focused on one type of conflict. Of course, the Democrats and many Republicans don't want to fully fund the Defense Department because it takes away from social architecture and pork spending.

AOI respects Gates' service in the CIA, and Gates is probably a better choice than say, John Kerry. Yet AOI suspects that Gates' focus on the limited wars that America is engaged in will give Comrade Barack political cover to cut other defense spending.

What Do the Clintons Have on Comrade Obama?

With one former Clinton Adminstration appointment after another...and with the piece de resistance being Hillary herself, the media are of course missing the most important question:

Senator Hillary Clinton and US Democratic Presidential Candidate Senator Barack Obama speak at the 'Women for Obama' breakfast at the Hilton Hotel in New York City

What do Bill and Hill have on Obama? It must be something very good for him to pick all their cronies.

No I don't buy all this nonsense about Comrade Obama wanting experience and the Clinton Administration being the most recent Democratic Socialist administration to choose from. Nor do I buy any talk of Hillary doing it for the country.

The Clintons have something on Dear Leader. Whatever it is, it must have come up late or else they would have used it during the campaign. There's no way Comrade Obama would want the Clintons hanging around the White House unless he was forced to have them.

Taiwan: See Ya!

One thing lost amongst the many fears about how Comrade Barack will handle foreign policy is the plucky Republic of China, better known as Taiwan. Little known outside of those in the military and intelligence community, the People's Republic of China has steadily been modernizing its military over the last 13 years to put it in a position to evict the United States from the Western Pacific and bully Taiwan into rejoining the fold. The PRC does not quite yet have the amphibious capability to successfully invade Taiwan; but it has positioned dozens of surface-to-surface missiles within range of the island. It could easily threaten a devastating missile attack on Taiwan.

Taiwan Presidential Electoral Campaign

The US Congress passed the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act, commiting the United States to Taiwan's defense. But with Comrade Barack in the White House, and the Beijing Olympics forgotten, what is really stopping China from implementing its long held plans of retaking its captialist neighbor?
