Shut Up And...Well Just Shut Up

Actress Anne Hathaway, best known for her Disney "Princess Diaries" roles, is the latest elitist Hollywood celebrity to bore the rest of the Republic with her oh-so-important political views. Hathaway, who won the Best Actress award at the Critics Choice Awards last night, told reporters that she was going to the Coronation of Dear Leader but was upset that Pastor Rick Warren would be speaking. Hathaway explained that her brother was gay and that it was a "family issue" for them that Warren is supposedly anti-homosexual. The actress and her brother are going to wear anti-Warren ribbons. You mean some idiot is actually making such a thing? No word whether Comrade Anne would have preferred Reverend Wright instead.

They [liberal media] really like me!

Oh and while she's criticizing Dear Leader's choice of Warren, AOI has yet to learn of Dear Leader or Warren criticizing her choice of criminal boyfriend (legal disclaimer: now EX-boyfriend).

Don't Want to Watch Her Before OR After November 5th

What has happened in this country where the political musings of celebrities are headline news?

It seems these days, Western culture--at least judging by the media--puts its primary emphasis on celebrity and becoming famous.

The latest example of a celebrity taking themselves too seriously comes from Sunday night's Emmy telecast. You say you missed it? Don't worry, according to the Drudge Report , it was the lowest rated Emmy Awards ever. Could it be that flyover country is tired of comments like those that came from actress/comedian Tina Fey?

Now, I don't know Tina Fey. Other than her role in "Mean Girls," I haven't followed her career. I don't watch "Saturday Night Live," which hasn't been funny since "Da Bears" skits died out.  I have had some coworkers who think Tina is wonderful.

But I do know this. According to the AP, Fey was quoted as saying about playing Palin on SNL:

"I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5. So if anybody can help me be done playing this lady Nov. 5, that would be good for me."

Fey has a right to her opinion and politics but this seems rather harsh considering that Super Sarah told Sean Hannity that though she could not hear the SNL Palin skit, she thought Fey was "spot on" in her resemblance to her.

Well I'm sorry Ms. Fey and all your elitist liberal celebrity friends--Super Sarah, win or lose, will be here long after November 5th. That's because her resume is 1000 times more impressive than yours.
